Our skills are ideally suited for "Activities of Daily Living" and"Settlement Documentaries"

As documentary filmmakers it was a natural progression for Mom & Pop Films to branch out to legal video and establish dayintheLIFEdocs.

Our approach to the “Day In The Life Documentary” is simple: “Put the jury in the subject’s shoes.” Although it may be physically apparent that one’s life has been changed, the degree to which a person has been victimized by an event is intangible. The key is to make crystal clear how that life has been changed. Equally important is who has been changed. Our job is to help the jury to consider the loss.

The camera does not lie. We understand the art of the interview and the need to establish a level of comfort and trust between the filmmaker and the subject. We know when to turn the camera on and where to point it, and how to capture the nuances of behavior that help to tell our stories clearly and honestly. We objectively record the human qualities of the life portrayed that will resonate with a jury.

We have the technical skills and storytelling instincts to effect the right decision.

“Settlement Documentaries” offer the opportunity to create a more comprehensive portrait of the subject. Use of dramatic devices – home video, photos, music, interviews with family and friends, narration – connect us emotionally to the subject and his/her journey, and help us to identify with the profoundly dramatic and definitive consequences of a traumatic event. Our goal is to create an overwhelmingly convincing argument for the desired settlement.
